Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers notice how screen stories work across television, games, animation and online video. A strong proposal has a clear idea, a useful angle and room for readers to follow the reasoning.
What we welcome
Pitch original explainers, comparisons, histories and close readings of screen forms or storytelling choices. We are especially interested in evergreen subjects that can be explored clearly without relying on private access, unsupported claims or a review of a current release.
What to include
Tell us the proposed subject, the central question, why it suits Genuine Screen Stories and the main points you would cover. Mention relevant experience only where it helps explain your approach, and flag any sources or permissions the piece would need. Please send a pitch rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise.
How to send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option for your pitch. We review proposals for fit, clarity and distinctness from our existing coverage; sending one does not guarantee publication. Please do not include confidential material.
Every screen tells its own kind of story
We think the fun is in noticing how a form shapes a tale. A game, an animated short and a series can share an idea while giving it entirely different ways to unfold.
